GlykoGen aims to develop a pipeline of anti-glycan antibodies to target ‘hard to treat’ cancers, including pancreatic cancer, using an innovative and patentable process. GlykoGen’s vision is the delivery of more effective therapies for cancer, targeting cancer cells through their surface glycans. Glycans are of interest in the study of cancer because they play a role in almost every biological process and are involved in every major disease. However, their therapeutic potential in cancer remains to be exploited, due to the difficulties of producing antibodies to glycans.

C3D ELISA

Hycult's new C3D ELISA Kit is designed to detect human C3d. What sets this assay apart is its utilization of a distinctive neo-epitope capture antibody that selectively targets a specific C3d region of the alpha chain, which is not available in other C3 variants. This way it specifically distinguishes C3d from native C3 and other activated C3 proteins.

The complement system plays important roles in both innate and adaptive immune response. There are three pathways of complement activation. Each generates a C3 convertase and generates a major cleavage fragment C3b. Further cleavage of C3b lead to formation of iC3b and subsequently C3c and C3dg. The latter digested to leave C3d. The formation of C3dg into C3d in blood is a slow step. As a result, the majority will be C3dg.

Complement fragments serve as biomarkers for many diseases. This ELISA can aid in advancing treatment options for various diseases such as transplantation rejection, kidney diseases, age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and inflammatory diseases.

Introducing Hycult’s latest antibody against Rat C5: Rat C5, Monoclonal Antibody, Clone 4G2

Hycult’s new and unique blocking antibody targeting complement rat C5, now available for preclinical research in rat models!

This new antibody recognizes human, rabbit and rat complement C5. It acts as an equivalent of Eculizumab and recognizes human and rabbit C5. However the affinity for rat C5 is even stronger.

The antibody recognizes intact alpha chain and binds to an epitope distinct from Eculizumab. In haemolytic assays the antibody shows efficient inhibition of alternative pathway as well as classical pathway.

This is successfully demonstrated in a rat prophylactic Myastenia gravis model in which animals were
protected from disease and for destruction of the muscle endplates.

 Available in sizes: 20 µg,100 µg, 500 µg, 1 mg, 5 mg, and 10 mg

 Applications: ELISA, Western Blotting, Functional Studies
