Technical Support Specialist

The successful candidate will be trained to provide customer support and sales and marketing assistance on our GC, HPLC and sample preparation products.  Occasional travel to customer and supplier locations within Canada and the U.S. is anticipated.

The ideal candidate has:

• A chemistry background with some chromatographic or sample preparation experience
• Technical writing, customer service, and sales experience
• Superior written and verbal communication skills in both English and French
• Well-honed time management and organizational abilities
• Personal computing skills, including a good working knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel

If you enjoy interacting with people and like talking science with scientists, this is the job for you! 

Technical support and product-specific training are provided.  We offer an attractive compensation and benefits package. 

The position is located at our head office in Brockville, Ontario, located on the banks of the St. Lawrence River at the foot of the majestic 1000 Islands.

Chromatography Sales Representative - Province of Quebec

The successful candidate should be based in the Montreal area (preferably in Laval) or based in the Brockville area and will be responsible for sales in the Province of Quebec.

Responsibilities:

• Attain and surpass sales objectives
• Contact new and existing customers to discuss their research needs and suggest products and technologies that are relevant to their work
• Act as a liaison between customers and our head office
• Prepare for and participate in product shows and tradeshows as required
• Orchestrate discussions with customers around their business needs and network within existing customer base
• Actively prospect, discover and engage new accounts and contacts within assigned territory
• Maintain and update customers' information within a contact management system

The ideal candidate has:

• Superior written and verbal communication skills in French and English are mandatory
• A diploma or degree in science, preferably in the discipline of chemistry
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities
• Hands-on chromatographic (GC and / or HPLC) experience is desired
• Laboratory sample preparation experience is considered an asset
• Sales or customer service experiences are assets
• Able to work independently
• Must show initiative, enthusiasm, and be a strong team player
• Confident and genuine communicator with great listening skills
• Strong computing skills, including a good working knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel
• Willingness to travel throughout the territory as required
• A clean driver record

Sales and product specific training, a generous benefits package and a car allowance are provided.  Remuneration is based on experience and qualifications.
