SBI - Pre-packaged CRISPR / Cas9 Lentivirus and Lentivectors

SBI's Lenti-Cas9 SmartNuclease system is ideal for targeting cell types that are difficult to transfect with plasmids, effectively expanding the range of target cells amenable for CRISPR/Cas9-based genome engineering.

Lentiviral constructs are available in 2 formats:

  • All-in-one lentivectors expressing Cas9 and gRNA
  • Two vector system with separate Cas9 and gRNA expression lentivectors

Webinar: How to Use CRISPR / Cas9 Lentivirus and Lentivectors - by SBI

RNA-guided, Cas9-mediated genome editing based on the Type II CRISPR/Cas system provides a new approach for modifying a target genome. With SBI's new Lenti-Cas9 SmartNuclease system, a broad variety of mammalian cells are now amenable for CRISPR/Cas9-based genome engineering. SBI's Lenti-Cas9 system provides an easy and efficient way to generate high titer Cas9 and gRNA lentiviruses which can be used to transduce difficult-to-transfect cell lines. In this webinar, we will show how easy it is to establish stable Cas9 editing cell lines, and review a simple and effective Lenti-Cas9 protocol to permanently knock-out a specific target gene in the human genome.

Date:  October 2nd, 2014 at 10am or 6pm PDT

Generating Stable Cell Lines – by Mirus

Most cell biology experiments utilize transient transfection protocols that afford peak gene expression between 24-96 hours post transfection. However, if sustained gene expression is required, generation of stable cell lines is a viable option. Furthermore, stable cell lines selected through limiting dilution/colony-picking provide a genetically homogenous and clonal population.  Click here for more information.
