Product Description
- N-acetyl-D-glucosamine (GlcNAc) is phosphorylated by the enzyme GlcNAc Kinase (NagK) and ATP to form GlcNAc-6-phosphate and ADP. Using a coupled reaction in the presence of NADH, the amount of NAD formed is stoichiometric with the amount of GlcNAc, and is measured by a decrease in absorbance at 340 nm.
- Each kit contains enough reagent for 500 microplate assays (0.2 ml each reaction) or 100 cuvette assays (1 mL each reaction).
